Dr. Joel Wyman Frampton JR., MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Frampton for 30 years, I think I was one of his 1st patients. I would not want any other doctor, even when I moved to Myrtle Beach for 10 years I would drive back to Charleston for my appointments. He is #1 in my book.

I am so thankful for Dr. Frampton. This is my second pregnancy with him, and my husband and I both really love him. I so appreciate that he truly wants his patients to have enjoyable, healthy pregnancies. I completely trust his experience and judgement. There have been a couple times I'm tempted to freak about things that have come up during my pregnancies and he is so reassuring and has been right about the outcomes every time. I actually met his daughter and grandbaby in the waiting room once. He just really cares about his patients and I'm very thankful for him.

CARES ABOUT PEOPLE. CARES ABOUT PEOPLE WITHOUT INSURANCE AND WILL DO WHATEVER HE CAN TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE.

I LOVE DR. FRAMPTON! HE TAKES CARE OF ALL THE WOMEN IN MY FAMILY AND HE WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO HURT ANYONE! HE CARES SO MUCH ABOUT US AND OUR HEALTH! IF YOU NEED A GREAT DOCTOR THEN HE'S THE ONE!

Dr Frampton has been my Dr for over 30 years. He is always there when you need him and makes sure you are well taken care of. He always goes the extra mile in making sure you general health is also taken care of and a Dr if you need to talk will be there to listen. A calm and gentle nature makes you feel comfortable in even the most sensitive exams. My daughter also now she him and we would not have any other Dr in his place.

We have been trying to conceive for about 6 years the docs kept throwing pills at her and asking for us to return for additional appointments, but beyond cursory examinations, none of the doctors appeared to even be curious about her condition. Doctor Frampton was so incredibly nice and caring, but in the initial 3 visits he didn't examine her at all, he just gave her a prescription for some anti-depression pills (which made her sick) and billed my insurance company for somewhere around $3,000. Here, 2 years later and thousands more billed, we are no closer to having a baby. It wasn't until my wife ended up seeing a doctor in S. America while traveling that we learned that SHE HAS A LARGE, EASILY DETECTABLE TUMOR IN HER RIGHT OVARY AND ANOTHER IN HER UTERUS! Thank you for your complete lack of curiosity! Thank you for lining your pockets as you waste time that we will never get back. Thank you for putting the health and welfare of my wife second or third, far behind your ability to… bill ridiculous sums of money for no services rendered. He may be a great person, but Doctors in the United States are just extensions of the politically well-connected Insurance Companies, and none of them have any real liability for their actions, or lack thereof.

i did not have insurance and Dr. Frampton was the doctor on call to deliver my baby. My husband and i had just moved to charleston for a new job and insurance was not to start for another month. We made barely too much for medicaid and definitely not enough to pay for private insurance. Dr. Frampton made it quite clear as soon as he came into the delivery room that he did not want to be there. He did not introduce himself to me and my husband until after he took it upon himself to lecture us on not having insurance for our baby. He then proceeded to tell me that i could now not be turned away from the hospital since "I had made my water break". This was after he yelled at the nurse for calling him when "i clearly had not ruptured my membranes yet", which after a quick and rather aggressive exam by him, he immediately retracted, but never apologized to me or the nurse. He came in to check on me twice before i delivered my baby and each time he accused me of not following the proper… channels to acquire medicaid or government assisted insurance. Being that this was my first pregnancy and clearly scared and emotional, i felt that all of his judgments could have waited until the safe delivery of my daughter. I also tried to explain to him that i had for the past 3 months done nothing but contact every possible aid out there for me and baby. But he did not want to listen, only lecture and make a new mother cry and feel horrible. I will never allow this man to touch me or my child again. I can never forget the horrible experience of the what was supposed to be one of the most memorable and enjoyable moments of every woman's life.

After moving here from Michigan and having the same dr all my adult life, I had a hard time finding someone I liked. Dr Frampton has a refreshing bedside manner. He listened to my comment and concerns. I felt like I was more than a copay for him. It is something can be rare in the HMO decade.

I have been with Dr. Frampton for 15 years and he is wonderful. He remembers every patient and cares about what is going on with them. He is one of the few left that will spend time with you and find out what real issues are not just exam and leave. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Frampton is a great doctor. He is professional and always takes his time. I would suggest him to anyone who is looking for a new OBGYN.
