Dr. Joel S Hayden

At age 64, and a sweets lover all my life, I have seen many dentists. Dr Hayden and his staff are simply the best. They have repaired and saved teeth other dentists wanted to pull. Pain free and reasonably priced.

I would have rated them highly in the beginning. My teenage daughter had Fast Braces through their (Sabourn & Hayden) office. They were fast, nicely effective for straightening and fairly priced. Unfortunately after they removed them I took my daughter to our long time dentist to have her teeth cleaned. Our dentist was irate after speaking with his hygienist who had just cleaned her teeth and performing an exam. He said that he had never seen such a horrible job from an orthodontist or dental office. They had left so much adhesive that it took his hygienist twice as long cleaning to get it off and they found huge gouges in her teeth from what looked like someone trying to work fast to remove the adhesive when they removed her braces. I never went back to complain as I should have, but my dentist recorded it. Later my daughter returned to receive her second pair of retainers (you get 2 free). She said when they made the mold it was very painful. After I brought the retainer home to my… daughter she found there was only a bottom and the top was missing. I called and they could not find the top retainer, so they said she needed to get new ones made. She said it was too painful, that she would just continue to use the old retainer and return in the future when she absolutely had too. She has made the retainer work being very careful with it for 3 years. We just returned to get the second one and were told by the receptionist who was somewhat rude repeatedly that we already got our 2 free and it would be $220 for a new one. After telling her several times that getting the bottom piece of a second one doesn’t count as two, she finally said she would talk to the doctor. She called me back the next day and said that the doctor said my daughter had received her two as she (the receptionist) had told me and would have to pay for a new one. This is a very poor practice, let alone the damage they had done to her teeth. I will no longer make referrals and I will post this repeatedly on social media as well as share in hope that others do not have to deal with the subpar care, and poor practice. We do still endorse Fast Braces, just do yourself a favor and get them somewhere more reputable.
