Dr. Joel Mark Johnson, MD

After many surgeries, my chief concern is with anesthesia and the competence of the physician who will administer it. Dr. Joel Johnson was present for one of my procedures. Not only did he intently listen to my concerns regarding drug interactions, allergies, and reactions, etc., but changed his usual protocol to address my specific reactions to anesthesia. To his credit, Dr. Johnson is an expert when it relates to placing an IV into those of us with collapsible veins. The usual 4 to 6 stick attempts are replaced by initial numbing of the hand, and first attempt success of line placement. I, personally, request Dr. Joel Johnson for any procedure requiring anesthesia. He cares very much for his patients and follows them pre and post-surgically. I highly recommend Dr. Joel Johnson.
