Dr. Joel Bernard Levine, MD

I had the privilege of watching Dr. Levine working with staff and patients. He is an absolute professional and demonstrates great compassion and knowledge. I later became a patient of his for a brief period and must say that his diagnostic skills are exemplary as his bedside manner. He earned my respect.

I felt Dr. Levine had better things to attend to than listen to my stomach woes. He never signed on the computer to find out anything about me and maybe looked at the folder he was holding once. Never even felt if I was swollen never touched any part of me! He diagnosed me by just looking at me and leaving the room. Amazing (not)

I was transferred to Dr Levine with a 105 degree fever, rectal bleeding, and not long to live. This was in 1979. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitus. I was in UConn hospital for 3 months but he did not remove my colon. I am now 66 years old, and I still have all my parts in tact. Most other doctors would have taken the easy way, and I would be wearing a colostomy if alive at all. He is without a doubt, one of the best in his field.
