Dr. Joel David Macy, MD

He has been my sister's doctor for years. She is now at OSU for a stroke. She has had high blood pressure for over a year while under his care. He didn't feel it was important enough to out her o a medication. 2 months ago my sister was complaining of back and groin pain. She asked him for an xray, just to let you know my sister never goes to the Dr inked she is in pain. He didn't want to order an xray, said he didnt want to expose her to unnecessary radiation. Sent her home agian!!! She has a LG mass in her ovary!!! Found by another doctor of course. He is completely a negligent doctor and unsafe to practice.

Dr. Joel Macy makes me feel listened to, like a human and never rushes me. I just adore him, his honestly and his high skill level as a Dr. I trust him with my life.

Both my husband and I see Dr. Joel Macy and absolutely think he is wonderful. He was able to diagnose an illness my husband had suffered with for years and as a result my husband was able to receive treatment to resolve the issue. In addition, Dr. Macy detected a lump in my husband's neck during a routine check up that was later diagnosed as Hodgkin's lymphoma. Thankfully, it was detected early and my husband has been cancer free for 6 years. Dr. Macy is the best and we trust him implicitly.

This doctor ignored my complaints and noted only answers to his specific questions. My chief complaints are not noted anywhere in my medical records, which contain information that is incorrect. He refused to correct the record, even though he was the one who put the incorrect information there. He referred me to doctors I did not need to go to and ordered tests that I did not need. During my second (and last) visit I had two unnecessary shots. I would advise people to steer clear of this one.

Dr. Macy diagnosed a life-long medical issue that many other doctors dismissed. Really appreciated how well he listened to me.

One of the best family doctors I have ever had.Cares very much and is very friendly. Couldn't find a better doctor to goto. He is very attentative and you can tell that Dr. Macy is really into what he does and I would reccomend him to everyone.
