I booked this appointment specifically to address hormone concerns and discuss the possibility of an ablation — not for a routine exam. The room was set up for a Pap smear I had not requested. I came prepared with recent lab results, a clear symptom history, and documentation from other providers, including cycle-related changes and ongoing physical symptoms. The doctor did not review any of it and referred to the information as “hooey” (his exact word). He would not order any labs, stating that “patients like you are never satisfied with the results.” He told me my symptoms were “all in my head” and suggested I contact a psychiatric facility, despite the fact that I was calm, not in crisis, and clearly seeking help for documented health concerns. If you are experiencing complex hormone symptoms and want a provider who will collaborate with you and take your concerns seriously, this may not be the right fit.

All of the many times that I have had to wait for Joel, he dismisses me as a patient, because he can't keep an appointment....go figure. Also, wants to charge me $50 for a copy of my own medical records, but, if I tell them who my new Doctor wii be, they will forward them at no charge!!!!
