Dr. Joel Robert Mensing

This man needs to go to sensitivity training and learn how to treat families of very ill patients. He just doesn’t seem to care. Sad.

My husband came into the er on Saturday night and was admitted the same night..we had the pleasure of having dr.mensing assigned to my husband's problem of pleura effussion...his personality and his knowledge is exceptiional...I was very impressed..??????liz himlo and John. .

I was referred to Dr. Mensing by my cardiologist. I have a heart condition and cancer survivor along with chronic shortness of breath. He threw some inhalers at the problem. I used the inhaler as prescribed and it offered little relief. Although it was all I had. When it came time to refill the prescription, my pharmacy faxed his office for over two weeks with no reply. I also called and left several messages with no return call. My suggestion, if you have a chronic, life-threatening illness that you need help managing, go see anyone but him. He is useless!

I’ve never been treated so horribly by a physician in my life. After contacting pneumonia my chronic lung condition had gotten worse. I admitted to being non compliant on my therapy and needed to do better. After scolding me like a witless child, this man who claims to be a doctor, got belligerent with me even though I remained calm the whole time and was in no way disprespectful. He just kept repeating over and over that I needed to do my therapy and I nodded that I understood. The man then stared at me and said “ well what do you wanna do? Do you wanna continue here? “ I said that I didn’t and got up to leave. He then said “ I’ll see you in the hospital”. I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life, but he needs to sort himself out before seeing more patients.
