Dr. Joel Richard Moore, MD

Dr Moore was so compassionate and knowledgeable. Spent a lot of time with me and even took time to explain my condition to my family, although I could see he was very busy I didn’t feel rushed and really appreciated his professionalism.

I’ve come to learn that most ER doctors are bottom of the barrel doctors that somehow made it through medical school. “Dr”Moore here showed that’s so true. Rude and dismissive. Needs a little more compassion and a lot more experience because he simply just didn’t know anything.

Dr. Moore seems to be a compassionate and caring doctor. He seems very professional and friendly. I think that he just needs some more experience and he will be more confident and better able to handle more complex patients. Not to say that he is not confident, but I noticed that he seemed nervous and wasn't too sure of what was wrong with me, or how to treat it. Which eventually I was discharged, and it took another doctor to tell me what was wrong with me. (It was a simple diagnosis, but I was extremely sick by the time I began treatment, and ended up in the hospital for over a week and a half That was about 3-4 months ago, and I am still not feeling 100% and probably never will due to underlying diseases. I think Dr. Moore could be a better doctor with more experience and a better working environment than that of JCMC. This hospital is known for it's poor care, rates of staph, and overall unprofessionalism by many of the staff. I believe that if Dr. Moore worked in a higher rated… hospital, his knowledge and professionalism could be put to greater use. He seems to be motivated and wants to sincerely help patients, but he is selling himself short. I wish him well. And as a community, we haven't given up on our main hospital. Miracles Do Happen Everyday!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!

Did not spend enough time. Seemed distracted. Did not examine me. Had nurses discharge me without giving me a diagnosis.I would not recommend to family or friends.
