Joel Lynn Nuttall

Joel Nuttall is a seasoned physical therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedic care at TOSH. His expertise includes running evaluation, sports rehabilitation, and post-operative recovery. Serving patients in Murray and throughout the Salt Lake Valley, Joel provides individualized care by conducting detailed evaluations of leg anatomy and mechanics, creating tailored exercises and treatments. He is passionate about promoting these personalized approaches to help patients achieve their goals.

With decades of experience treating thousands of runners—from Olympians to weekend enthusiasts—Joel has developed a proven treatment model centered on a home-based plan. This approach minimizes visits and costs while empowering patients with the education and tools needed for long-term self-care. He enjoys analyzing and optimizing movement mechanics for running, jumping, and exercising in patients of all ages and skill levels.

Originally from Southern California, Joel still misses the beach …during Utah’s winters. A lifelong runner, his passion for the sport began with competitive running in his youth. Outside the clinic, Joel stays active through track speed work, trail running, soccer, and ultimate frisbee, embracing his love for movement and fitness.
