The staff does not return phone calls, even for serious conditions and existing patients.

Patient, thorough, and kind. Was careful to treat me gently during his examination because of my fibromyalgia. Too bad he's dismissive of alternative treatments.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Rothfeld for over a year. He and the receptionists have been personable, professional and caring. We had moved up from So Cal and weren't sure what kind of care we would get in smaller Chico. My wife has ALS and FTD (dementia). Dr. Rothfeld works hard to thoroughly evaluate, patiently listen and then go above and beyond in alleviating concerns.

My mother is sick and missing work because of you. It would have been nice if you could have seen her Dr. Rothfeld. CHAMPVA is complete coverage insurance provided to relatives of disabled veterans, and because your unknowledgeable and unskilled staff didn't know that my mother is suffering right now. How can you treat people like this? Just do your job and help sick people. You would have been paid. Terrible knowledge of their own industry, avoid at all costs.

I love this doctor. He is understanding knowledgeable and has given me world class care. If you get to see him about your conditions. Thank your lucky stars. I live in Anderson and my doctor is in Red Bluff. I was referred to Dr. Rothfeld. The referral to several months to occur. Finally, I got an appointment and drove to Chico. I was told my doctor's office had sent none of my material in advance so I would have to reschedule. I did. On the second visit, I brought the material myself. Granted, my doctor's office had sent a lot of material, but all he did was dismiss it. Without looking it over, he told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with me, there was nothing he could do for me. My months of waiting, my travel---all wasted. That was last year, and I'm much worse now than I was then, and I still can't find a doctor who will give me the time of day. Dr. Rothfeld is one of the guys who DIDN'T. There is something seriously wrong with me and it's getting worse fast. But Dr. Rothfeld couldn't be bothered. Stay away from this guy. He doesn't give a flying @!%* about patients. Find someone with a little humanity.

My follow-up office visit and evaluation were similar to my previous visits with Dr. Rothfeld. Very thoughtful, concerned and extremely helpful. His emphasis on self-care measures versus only pharmaceutical intervention was refreshing. If your healthcare condition requires a neurological evaluation I would strongly recommend you request a visit with Dr. Rothfeld.

Don't bother. He's not interested. He's got other things on his mind, other things to do, and he's not interested in your petty little problems. The sooner you accept that the sooner you can start giving your money to a doctor who cares.
