Dr. Joel Evans Schaler, MD

Dr. Joel Schaler brings four decades of experience in family medicine to his practice, serving patients across Custer County and the broader Heart of the Rockies region. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency training at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center. Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Schaler has developed expertise in comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. He is fluent in both Spanish and English, enabling him to serve the diverse communities throughout southern Colorado.

Dr. Schaler is affiliated with Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center and practices at locations in both Westcliffe and Salida, Colorado.
