Dishonest. . Found a new doctor

Office and Dr. are great and instilled a wonderful sense of trust.

Definitely recommend for anyone with back issues.

He gave a wrong opinion about a neck injury saying it was a muscle strain. I spent 5 weeks of therapy which was very painful and did more damage to my back. Had numerous visits that were spread out over a 5 month period and each visit was only 2-4 minutes long. He never read the original X-Rays on my first visit. Then 2 months later he said I had damaged vertebrae that need major surgery. He then walked out of the room saying "I'll see you in 4 weeks. I need to see about a second opinion. He is rough and self centered as well as uncaring.

Of course I followed all the Dr's ordered....had herniated disk that was pressing on a nerve resulting in foot and leg numbness..As soon as it started I went to the see Spielman...he was great..I will return again if I do anything else to my self...ugh

barely examined me. does not listen to concerns. more concerned with completing dictation before actually finding out why I was there and what was my physical complaint. Had another surgeon say I needed major surgery. He said no surgery. not sure how there could be such polar opposites. Having major spinal issues....neck, thoracic and lumbar and he is only focused on one area and didnt even inquire about the other 2 even though I have to do a total switch to him due to insurance issues. I really wish I could go to another doctor. Stuck with one who is very self focused.

Doctor only spent, at most, 5 minutes examining me. He did not really listen to my concerns. He was very quick to dismiss my questions. He quickly discounted the mri's of my entire back stating that my problems were shoulder related and hip related, despite the fact that a gp, two physiatrists, a neurologist and another neurosurgeon said I have serious back problems. I was sent to my orthopedic surgeon to have my shoulders examined. Separate conclusions from the surgeon and his PA were back issues. Shoulders ok. Both the surgeon and his assistant spent 15 min. each examine me. That is 25 min. more than he spent. He spent almost 15 minutes dictating his notes while I stood waiting for instructions from him as to what was next. Nothing. I was done, just waiting on him. Fast talking. Very quick and incomplete exam. Quick to diagnose and attribute to a different problem. Asks you questions but does not really listen to your responses. Spends half of visit dictating his… notes on your time. Inaccurate diagnosis. Spends little actual time with patient. Bedside manner.......NONE Can'take say anything about follow up, getting a different doctor.

Dr. Spielman and the rest of the practice is outstanding. Caring, understanding, listens well and explains things clearly.

In 2010 Dr. Spielman examined me as I was having back pain. He discovered that the base of my spine was knocked off the lowest part of my back S1L5. He performed a spinal fusion. What impressed me with Dr. Spielman was the fact my insurance company approved opening me up, stating there is a problem & closing me back up. As I was waiting for the surgery in the OR line, Dr. Spielman was on the phone fighting for me to get the "proper" surgery and he had succeeded so they paid. Not many doctors that I have come across would have done this for a patient. He also fought for me several years later for a neurodegenerative disease that is extremely rare and I cannot ever thank him and his staff enough. I would highly recommend Dr. Spielman & have already done so to my friends.

He did my neck surgery I couldn't ask for a better doctor and yes yes yes If i had to get surgery again i want Dr. Speilman to do the surgery amazing doctor i will say over and over again : )
