Dr. Joel Michael Vanderschuur, MD

This man is asked into my hospital room in the most arrogant way he dismissed my medical illness or need to even be in inpatient after 10 minutes of meeting me he accused me of having alternative motives after being in the hospital for two weeks like it's fun to be ill he was rude and lied in my chart for his own gain and to cover up the fact that he yelled at me and my daughter he said I wasn't experiencing something | already have been tested on and have a diagnosis and have repeated er vista for let alone two hospital stays he also accused all my other Dr's and nurses of being lazy and taking the easy way out when it came to my health care he slandered me multiple times with in his care notes when I had just met him 3/30/26 and had 10-15 minute meeting tops where he did t care to learn anv of mY chart for his own gain and to cover up the fact that he yelled at me and my daughter he said | wasn't experiencing something I already have been tested on and have a diagnosis and have… repeated er vista for let alone two hospital stays he also accused all my other Dr's and nurses of being lazy and taking the easy way out when it came to my health care he slandered me multiple times with in his care notes when I had just met him 3/30/26 and had 10-15 minute meeting tops where he did t care to learn any of my history he simply challenged and questioned it from every angle this isn't a Dr who proceeds with care he's arrogant and rude and very self serving I had to ask him to leave and my daughter did the same proceed with caution around this MD as he doesn't care for his patients from what I can see nor does he care about your medical history he bases his assumptions of a combination of things he doesn't understand about you and what he thinks he can or should do regardless if you had a care plan and was working through it

My mom was transferred to Portland from a small town hospital that didn't have a working MRI. When I called to try to find out the results of her MRI Dr. Vanderschuur was very rude, and told me to not call him, that he would call me in his own time. He spent a good five minutes chewing me out for calling him before he finally got around to telling me how my mom was. She was nonverbal at the time, so if I had any other way to find out how she was doing, I would have. He was extremely unprofessional.
