2 years ago a different doctor removed my kidney stone on the right side. When I recovered from the surgery he told me my ureter was so small he couldn't get the tools in without damaging the ureter. He put in a dilating stent and a few weeks later successfully removed the stone. This time (on my left side) I told DR Ingimarsson about my small ureters just before we went into the operating room. With this knowledge he still proceeded to try to remove the stone (unsuccessfully). He admitted to me when he saw he was causing damage he stopped, put in a stent and sent me home to return in a couple weeks to remove the stone. Later that evening I was in so much pain I had to call an ambulance and spent a week in the hospital with a severe urinary tract infection. Two weeks later a different doctor removed the stone. It has been 2 months and I still have kidney and ureter pain. I wouldn't recommend DR Ingirmarsson to anyone.

He listened carefully to everything I said, and clarified when I didn’t understand. I felt at ease with him, and I didn’t feel rushed. It was an absolute pleasure.
