Dr. Johanne Laure Python, MD

*Beware* of the billing practices of this office: I was a new patient at this office, and came in for a routine exam. No health issues, no treatment was prescribed, just your routine annual exam. However, since I had cancer 5 years ago (different Dr and State) Dr. Python decided to bill TWO office visits and used a diagnosis code from 5 years ago. I’m currently cancer-free, how is that even legal? Instead of $0 , I now owe $25 to Dr Python– plus $100 to the lab for the Pap smear which should be covered by my insurance. Per the office manager, the Dr. felt the visit was long (?)... I had no health issues to discuss, just a routine visit. Interesting that Dr. Python used my appointment to tell me about a $2,000 procedure that is not covered by insurance. I went through multiple cancer surgeries, radiation and never had to deal with anything like this. Disappointing and shocking way to treat cancer survivors. Their office manager threatens me with collections.

1st, this is outdated info, Dr. Python is not a student. I saw her several times during my pregnancy and she was on call when I went into labor (there was a shift change before my baby was born so she did not deliver him) she is great, I trusted her with anything I needed, as well as her assistant. I would recommend her to anyone. I also have friends who have gone to her that have been very satisfied with her as well.
