Dr. Jonathan Scott Lowman, MD

I have been going to him for 8 years.

He is a man's doctor, not good with women. Have heard him spend time with men in next examining room but only gives a woman 5 minutes of his time or less. Not a caring doctor at all. When husband died, even though he was his patient also, showed absolutely no feelings at all.

I have been removed from Dr. Lowman's practice and that of his partners because I refused to accept his "God Like" behavior today. I was 15 minutes late and was told my doctor would not see me until that afternoon. I was late because of a traffic incident and then the parking conditions of the office. I had to part in the lower 40 to find a space. I normally make my appointments for 7a and have never been late and usually really early. I have waited for him on numerous occasions and have even gone in and been told they had to reschedule because of his absence. I was coming in to have blood drawn to continue my medications because he refused to refill them until I came into the office. I also had to fast to have blood drawn. I did speak my mind to his Office Manager (no profanity included) like telling them Dr. Lowman was full of it. Any way, I decided to take my records and see one of the other doctors in that building. I had seen a Dr. Williams and she was very caring and attentive. I… couldn't see Dr. Lowman that day because his schedule was full. My ear was bleeding where the infection had burst so they sent me to see Dr. Williams and she handle the situation. I thought I would just transfer and start to see her but Dr. Lowman heard that I was unhappy with his decision not to see me that day and told his Office Manager (Terri) to let me know that I could not see any of his partners as well. Iam not sure if that means all of WellStar or just that office building. I am in the process of finding a new GP but found it extremely childish for Dr. Lowman to band me from the entire staff of that building. I've been a patient of his for 20 + years and have put up with a lot so this wasn't a hasty decision. I just could not take this extreme behavior of a Professional. A DOCTOR for goodness sakes. Enough said.
