Dr Aker is a kind and empathetic doctor! He makes himself available to you in post op care with any complications. He has excellent surgical technique!

He destroyed my stomach - and then tried to blame me for it. He has no ethics or integrity.

After losing weight from my 2009 bariatric procedure, I needed to remove the excess skin. Along the way, I opted to have liposuction on my abdomen and hips - big mistake. My mistake was in not using a board-certified plastic surgeon coupled by the fact that the provider was out of state. I was left with saggy abdominal skin and "gouged areas" in my hip region. To be fair, I was offered a revision, but the time and expense of going back out state led me to decline. I concealed the deformity and dealt with my decision in private. In 2017, I visited Sando and Aker for a consultation on cool-sculpting. Inna told me correctly that I would not be a good candidate on the area of my thighs that I wanted to treat. When I asked about a tummy tuck, she referred me to Dr. Aker. When I first met with Dr. Aker, I felt relieved. He listened to my story and did not make me feel judged about my previous lipo mishap. I was also intent on following the surgeon's advice and while a lower body lift was… not what I had it mind, it was certainly what was needed. It has been a year since my procedure (body lift: abdominoplasty, butt lift with auto-augmentation, outer thigh lift, and monsplasty). My hips no longer look "gouged", and my belly button is beautiful. I have a shapely figure (not boxy as I saw when researching tummy tucks) and my buttocks is nicely curved. Dr. Aker is quiet and compassionate, but the best thing is he LIKES what he does. I commented on this as he was marking me up for the procedure. He is informative and will answer your questions. In fact, he helped me with overcome a long-held myth I had about breast lifts and reductions. Because of that he also performed my breast lift in 2018.

Excellent physician

I have met with many surgeons before deciding to go with Dr. Aker. He is extremely caring, patient, honest and not the kind of doctor that just wants to perform a surgery on you. He wants to help you reach the best version of yourself! If that involves disagreeing with you, he will do so. I am so glad I trusted him and his staff, one of the best thing I have ever done for myself!

With so many wonderful options you have Mr. Aker should be the very last decision that you make. I would not want him doing plastic surgery on my worst enemy.

Do your research! Do your research! Do your research! This man will ruin you. I will follow up with more detailed reviews soon...but if this review alone gets that one person thinking oh I should probably research this guy or hey let’s explore some more options! ... By all means please do. There are many more surgeons than just him. I wish that I would’ve read the reviews on him before I ever began a relationship with this office but I didn’t. Today, I pay for it dearly.

caveat emptor - buyer beware!! dishonest and exploitative staff at Sando Aker. there are many other plastic surgeons offices in ooIndianapolis and surrounding areas, and my advice would be to go somewhere youre dealing with honest professionals, NOT the shady used carsalesman types, like Loretta Lungren Vestermark and her assistant Alyssa Boschert of My Plastic Surgery Group. If I file a civil tort for further misconduct, it's going to be directly against the partners and practice as the behaviour of the office staff was expressly condoned by one of the partners, unfortunately, in this precedent incident. The problem for me started when Loretta Lungren Vestermark and Alyssa Boschert attempted to triple/quadruple fees by lying about how a given procedure was "new" rather than "revisional". It was revsional --not new-- as the problem area was specifically caused by scars left over after the original operation; however, by erroneously claiming it was "new", they would have been able to… double the price. The second bit of underhandedness on their part was to make the false claim that the procedure had to be divided into 2 sessions and billed twice on account of the volume of local anesthetic needed. First of all, I went to medical school and knew immediately this was an outright lie. Much less anesthetic would be required for the revisional procedure than what had been required for the original procedure, and the original procedure was completed in a single session over a much larger area that had been infiltrated with local anesthestic in a shorter amount of time. The attempted financial exploitation and dishonesty was already bad enough; yet, foolishly, I tried addressing the situation in person before taking any other actions. What happened next is one of the most miserable experiences I've had in a doctor's office. Despite the fact I requested not to be forced to deal with either loretta lungren vestermark nor her assistant Alyssa Boschert, both women were sent into my room, where they preceded to verbally attack and threaten me, with loretta stating that Dr. Aker had already given her permission to dismiss me from the practice if I didnt accept the exploitative billing she assigned. She then forcibly attempted to lock me into the patient room. Any individual with moral integrity would have apologized and attempted to correct the situation, NOT make further excuses to cover their tracks and then blame and attack the patient for bringing the unprofessional behavior to light. If these people act like this when things are relatively easy, then you really dont want to be dealing with them should things go south. The same evasion and avoidance of responsibility is most likely what you'll be faced with, only it would be after they've taken all your money and left you in a bad place. According to Aly and Loretta, Dr. Aker read through the emails and then gave his permission for Loretta to dismiss me from the practice. Condoning this type of disrespect and mistreatment of patients is wrong; and, in closing, all I can say is that if the office staff breaches any other ethical standards the partners and practice are the ones that will face a lawsuit by choosing to ignore these precedent ethical violations and this utter lack of professionalism in its staff. Find an office not run by mean spirited, pretentious, exploitative women. you'll be happier that you did... I have photographic evidence showing the office staff telling me that revising two small groin creases and a scar on the back of my leg --all 3 revisional-- is a "new" procedure, even as they acknowlegde its "scar", so thus the "new" procedure has double the fees. Not only that, but the doctor cant operate on 2 small groin creases and a scar in the same session, so it has to be broken into two sessions (again, increasing the price). People w/o medical training are the true victims of these exploitative individuals : (
