AWESOME! Best doctor I have ever seen. Thank God there are still good doctors out there!

DR JOHN ALLEN if I could give zero stars I would! He is very unprofessional, he doesn’t care about what you have to say. He treated me poorly in visit and also wrote information on MyChart that was not even communicated with me. JOHN ALLEN put false information on my medical record and said we said we discussed about some health concerns and set goals for it which was not true. I recommend to stay away from this doctor if you want someone who cares and doesn’t put false information on your record.

I went in to BMC for a check up. The lady at the front was very sweet and on her game. I was in the waiting room for a surprisingly short amount of time. Dr. Allen didn't make me wait long either. His examination was quick but thorough, his explanation made a lot of sense, he referred me to a good PT and then I was done. I went in prepared for the typical long wait and short responses and walked out feeling well taken care of in an appropriate amount of time. Kudos to the entire staff

John Allen has been our family doctor for 19 years, has always been attentive and has provided us with the best of advice and care. That is a tough record to beat and is much appreciated by both of us.

He is always thorough, professional and follows up. I never feel rushed and he always listens to questions and concerns I may have.

Dr. Allen never makes me feel rushed. He listens attentively, refers me to specialists, when necessary, and takes the time to answer all my questions. He's kind, patient, and knowledgeable.

Dr Allen is absolutely wonderful! I've had some bad luck with drs since my health has become more complicated and I'm so thankful to have a primary that listens to me, isn't rude or condescending and treats me with respect. He does not have the God complex that my previous primary had. He knows when a condition is outside of his specialty and will refer out when necessary. He's serious, yet compassionate. He's a great Dr and I'm thankful my family found him and that he was willing to take us on as his patients.

Says one thing then does something completely different. Let's his assistant make decisions and then backs her with no communication with the patient. Absolutely no follow through. BEWARE of this doctor if you have any serious medical issues

I have two issues about my visit with Dr. Allen. (1) On October 25, 2017, Dr. Allen referred me to EKG immediately after my visit with him due to an irregular heartbeat. The technician did the EKG and told me she was faxing the results to Dr. Allen and I saw her doing that. I have not received the results. (2) I have ongoing severe pain in my neck and back due to osteoarthritis and other doctors have prescribed Hydrocodone. He told me he could not prescribe Hydrocodone nor could other physicians at that facility, and he would contact Pain Management and they would call me to make an appointment. My impression was there is a cavalier attitude concerning Hydrocodone by physicians at BMC . I have not received a call from Pain Management about an appointment for pain medication for my severe pain from osteoarthritis. I know that addicts have abused pain meds, plus other people have died from overdosing on pain meds. However, should a person's quality of life at an older age be reduced… because of other people's abuse and the cavalier attitude displayed by physicians from what I inferred from my appointment with Dr. Allen? I have lived in Montana and Texas, and the physicians are very caring in both states about easing pain in patients. I will add that he took care of my husband's needs very efficiently and my husband received his lab tests results immediately. I wish I could report such an efficient progress in my case.

This guy is burning out. I had to manage setting up an MRI after an ultrasound found liver masses. He did not respond to my clinic email. Find a doctor who cares.
