Dr. John Russell Bartlett, MD

Needed a doctor, randomly assigned to Bartlett! Worst day ever! I’d give Bartlett negative 5! My experience was awful.No longer seeing him!Never got a correct diagnosis(foot, throat, drug reaction)&found him very dismissive. Apparently never checked my family history, NEVER offered a physical exam! NOT a good diabetes doctor, he never gave me the 2-minute screen test. Diabetes was the only progressive disease in my family history. He either didn’t know it, hadn’t check or doesnt consider it important. At 52, while still feeling healthy, I ASKED him for a physical exam. My diabetes blood tests came back dangerously high. Forget borderline! A1c levels of 6,7,8,9,10 were never screened. Sadly, I didn’t understand the risk I was under, family members were type-1. Type-2 Diabetes can be managed IF caught early. Diabetes is an epidemic and Bartlett never offered a blood screen, a physical NOTHING. AND I had been hospitalized twice and yet no physical exam!! Isn’t this what doctors do for us… as patients?! And I could go on.

Dr. Bartlett has been my doctor for nearly 10 years and has provided exceptional care. He is quick to get me in, I get my labs pre-appt and they are ready when I get up to his office, and he always has time to discuss current issues and weight management or other concerns. He also took the time to discuss questions and concerns I had with my wife and child when we were having our first child and wanted another opinion on her care and I never felt like he was rushing to get to the next patient. Highly recommend.

Dr. Bartlett made me wait 35 minutes to see him. I showed up 15 minutes early so I technically waited 50 minutes. He was rude and unprofessional. His nurse was the same way. He prescribed me the wrong drug for the issue I was seeing him for. He also failed to refill a different prescription which I was also there for. After the pharmacy notified me that there was an error with my prescriptions (that's right, both of them), I was informed that Dr. Bartlett has no recollection of me being there for a refill. Strangely enough, when I call into Park Nicollet they can look in the notes for why I scheduled the appointment and it specifically states both reasons. He is not only a liar, but he is unprofessional. Medical institutions are turning into government agencies, beware. Don't see Bartlett, save your money and go see a witch doctor...your money will be better spent. This guy is a joke.
