Dr. John D Bast

Dr. John Bast was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. He attended Immaculate Conception grade school and graduated from Monroe Catholic High School where he was active in basketball, skiing, and running.
Dr. John Bast enrolled at the University of Colorado in Boulder for two and a half years before receiving an early acceptance into the University of Washington Dental School in Seattle, Washington. He then spent half a year in Telluride, Colorado working and skiing before attending dental school. 
Dr. John Bast has been practicing dentistry in Fairbanks with his father Dr. Fred Bast since 1998. Dr. John Bast attends numerous hours of continuing education courses every year. He is a graduate of the prestigious Pankey Institute of advanced dental studies in Key Biscayne Florida accumulating more than 200 hours of occlusal studies. He has over 80 hours of continuing education completed at the Misch International Implant Institute where he studied about implants and bone grafting. 
…Dr. John Bast is married to Suzan Bast who works at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital as the Business Manager of the Cardiology Department. They have three young children who are invloved in many local activities.  Dr. John Bast plays basketball, and cross-country skis. He greatly enjoys golfing, especially with his friends and family. He is also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Dr. John Bast loves practicing dentistry and enjoys talking and getting to know his patients. He likes to develop a trusting relationship with his patients and helping his patients achieve optimal oral health.
