Dr. John Malcom Beaman, MD

I have been with Dr. Beaman ever since he first opened . He's never done me wrong. He is caring, smart, and efficient.

Dr. Beaman has been my family doctor for 20 years and I don't have a single complaint. He is very well rounded and applies a lot of common sense in his practice. He diagnosed a blood clot in my leg when one of the "specialist" in Hattiesburg was wanting to do knee surgery that I didn't need. His strongest point is that he really tries to help his patients and doesn't just see them as a paycheck. He can treat most things but will recommend and get you an appointment with a good specialist if the condition warrants it. I would recommend him to anybody regardless of the patients age or condition.

I decided to write a review after reading a "poor" rating on this website. I sincerely disagree. I've been a patient of Dr. Beaman for 5 years, and was referred by others who have a high opinion of him. He's always been caring and accurate in his diagnosis. My wife suffered with stomach ailments with 2 different docs for 3 years. She was diagnosed with acid reflux. When I convinced her to go to Dr. Beaman, he listened to her symptoms (the same ones she had been complaining about to other docs for over 3 years), told us his concerns, and immediately ordered a scope of her stomach. His fears were confirmed as she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died a year and a half later. I know that if she had been a patient of Dr. Beaman's she would have been correctly diagnosed a year or more earlier and had much better chance of survival. He has always been caring, takes his time with patients, and follows through. He is a GP, however, not a specialist, but he's one of the best in my opinion.

This Doctor(?) needs to get more education. He is very ignorant! I would never go to him for anything! EVER!!!

Doctor is ignorant and needs to educate himself on conditions that patients face.
