Dr. John Eric Beavers, MD

My children saw Dr. Beavers for about a year and after numerous visits- all of which were rushed and lacking in quality of service and bedside manner, we found an actual competent pediatrician. I honestly can NOT believe this man ever was accepted into medical school, much less passed!

Barely any wait time. Very friendly staff. Nice to me and nice to eachother. While Dr. Beaver does not have state of the art equipment. He does have great bedside manner. He cares about your comfort. And he is gentle. He doesn't seem to mind getting in there and doing the hard work himself. I have definately found my dentist.

My oldest son had an ear infection one time and we had been seeing Dr. Bevers as regular patients. He was always curt and short, which my husband hated, but I kept giving him a chance. After almost 2 and a half years his ear infections were becoming more frequent and more intrusive and painful. He never sent us to a specialist, nor spent enough time to see what the actual problem was. I took matters into my own hands and found an ear specialist. Again, long story short - My son had a tumor in his ear and was very sick for over a year afterwards. He had to have surgery and was in the hospital for 3 days. Almost 2 years later, this problem still exists, his loss of hearing may never come back, he is constantly on antibiotics and he faces a second surgery next month. We have even considered legal action against this doctor. Please, don't waste your time!!!!!! It will hurt you and your family in the mean time!

My 1month old son came down with a cough and a small fever at the same time as everyone else in our household. My mother and I are both smokers. We went in to get it checked and possibly get some advice or medication to help prevent it from getting worse. He smelled the smoke when he walked in the room and immediately asked "Who smokes?" in a very rude manner. Then he spent 10 minutes telling us how bad smoking is and how unhealthy I am going to make my son because of my poor decision. He says all of this before he even looks at my son. Then he tells me that he doesn't have to look at him and that the only problem is that I smoke. I asked him about the fever and he told me that he may have a small cold and that there is nothing I can do about it. After I got home I found that there are some things I can do about a cough i.e. Vicks BabyRub. A simple "You should quit smoking" would have sufficed.

This doctor misdiagnosed our infant son with numerous maladies that just were not present according to his previous pediatrician and his new pediatrician, whom we switched to immediately after experiencing his not very professional bedside manner. Both other pediatricians were board certified, as well, something that cannot be said of Dr. Beavers. I would recommending avoiding this one.
