It is only fair to say that Dr. Burnett saved my life! I walked into the ER alone with difficulty catching my breath. After several scans and test he determined that I had an inordinate number of Pulmonary Embolisms in all five lobes of my lungs. He told me that if I had not come to the ER, I would not be alive tomorrow. He was very calming and clear in sharing his assessment, and in making me realize the urgency of the situation. Being alone was very scary and he helped me in understanding the necessity and urgency to resolve my condition. He also shared info from tests and scans via phone with my son in law who is in the medical field, which helped me to remain calm. Although he did not perform the extraction procedure, he coordinated all necessary preparations and staffing for me for a 3.5 hour procedure. I spent a week in the hospital and learned I had an inherited condition that caused blood clotting and PEs. I can’t thank him enough for his professionalism and compassion in… diagnosing me and rallying all the staff who helped give me my full life back.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Bernett. He was understanding, caring and explained things simply yet thoroughly. He went out of his way to call hours after leaving the ER and after his own shift to explain completed test results. Beyond impressed!
