Dr. John Leslie Bobby, DO

My father-in-law needed to change doctors due to the Highmark/UPMC debacle. Dr. Bobby took him as a new patient...but no one told us that Dr. Bobby was retiring in a few months. Why would I have switched to someone who wasn't going to be around to insure a continuity of care? And the office staff that all the Doctor's share here is THE WORST. Rude. Inefficient. They told us they never received my father-in-laws records, sending us on a wild goose chase, only to find out they never downloaded records they were sent. They're not courteous, nor do give a sense of confidence. I've never written a review regarding a care provider, but I've never had an experience this bad. Go elsewhere.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bobby's for years, as was my mother before me. When I was younger things were great. When I turned 60 then 65 things went downhill, especially when I developed thyroid trouble in 2014. Dr. Bobby will hand you off to specialists for the smallest things, usually in the same building which is odd, and orders all kinds of "preventive medicine" tests. I find this wearying and often refuse. Dr. Bobby also doesn't talk to his patients. He will type away on his laptop and let you sit there, little personal interaction at all. There were also issues of my developing pneumonia and the right medication wasn't given and the infection got out of control, the list goes on. He follows the rules, don't prescribe, just pull them into the office and refer them off. The "I want to see you in three weeks" is a bunch of baloney, simply a ploy to charge medicare since nothing is resolved except taking your blood pressure and pulse. I personally will not go back till I… really need to see a doctor. I've had two "Welcome to Medicare" visits, and they keep wanting to schedule new ones. Medicare is a joke is this sense. I would like to find a doctor who cares and sees me as a human being, not a number coming through the door. I guess my biggest beef is, he's a great doctor with a lot of expertise - he just doesn't seem to really care, or express it. Sad for him, really.

Both of my parents were patients of Dr Bobby and several of my elderly aunts and uncles. I became involved with their health care and found that all the man did was check their BP and sent them on their way. He sat in the room and typed on his computer completely ignoring their questions. he has absolutely NO bedside manner and questionable medical knowledge. He made them come back every three weeks for the same care... Perhaps Medicare misuse? Speaking my concerns with my relatives, they too observed the same practice with their parents. Dr Bobby is no longer their practitioner! If you need further proof ask the nurses at St Clair Hospital.

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. ARROGANT. SENDS FOR UNNECESSARY TESTS. REFUSES TO HELP WITH SPECIAL REQUESTS

Very good doctor. Yes, he is cautious but I feel that he is genuinely concerned about his patients. He has even called me in the evening to follow up on my condition. I have been seeing him for several years. His office staff is very pleasant, personable and caring.

If you are looking for someone that is afraid of prescribing medication, will only take your blood pressure and make you see a specialist for everything you are feeling. This is the wright doctor for you. He runs the best 3 weeks rotation scam I ever seen. He will want to see you every 3 weeks just to check your blood pressure.
