Dr. John F Bosi, DO

a mistake (very costly (($1500 bill)) and dangerous mistake) in which he put me on a medication after saying he doesn’t think I have this one condition. This medication, should not be taken if you have this one condition that I have, which he falsely said I do not have. (Another doctor I visited later diagnosed me with it one visit after this). This medication landed me in the Emergency Room. I tried to call the office when I was having the symptoms I was having during this, it was a weekday at 2:30pm, they were definitely open. No pickup, I left a voicemail letting them know I was on my way to the Emergency Room from the side effects of the medication. Weeks went by, I never once got a call back. I don’t even exactly blame Dr. Bosi, I blame the office for not reaching out. It is their job to let the doctor know what is going on. However, when I called to express my concerns after trying to make another appointment, I was told by Monica at the office “He can clearly see you went to ER-… it’s in your MyChart.” Where is the compassion then? No follow up? I tried to look past this as just a mistake as Dr. Bosi seems understanding in other ways, even if he misdiagnosed me with one thing. I know health can take time. If you look at other reviews, not just here on Google but on other sites as well, you can see people have the exact same issue. I’ve heard countless stories from friends and family, from strangers on Facebook. His staff, especially Monica and Rebecca, have spoken to me in a way that would not be appropriate anywhere, let alone as a patient and doctor’s office. Extremely condescending, ABLEIST language was used. I am sick and instead of getting help like I have been trying to get, I have just been completely berated and straight up bullied. Dr. Bosi has been my and only family doctor growing up, but unfortunately I think the way the office is being ran will be turning lots of others away as it did to me. If anyone from the Panther Valley region wants to go here just because it is easy, I really think you should look elsewhere. Both Dr. Bosi and St. Luke’s should be embarrassed by the way this office is staffed.

Recently, my son was treated there. He had papers with 2 small sections (required IDing his condition, date and signature) that needed to be filled out for his employer in order to collect sick pay and be able to return to work. Another doctor's office who had to fill out the same paperwork filled them out at once, in 5 minutes. The woman in charge of important files and filling out paperwork refused to look at it, threw it on a pile, said she was a very busy person and would have it in a few days. 2 days later, not done. Repeated visits and phone calls over the next week, still not done and she repeated nastily that she is BUSY!!! When confronted publicly in the office the next day (Day #8) when it wasn't ready, she said she'd have it the next day. Guess what? Still not done. Said she'll do it the next day and fax it in. Someone from that office called the previous day to say it was done and he could pick it up (another 20 mile round trip) and she denied that anyone had called. The… message was on his phone along with the office number. Still waiting... Good doctor but lots of problems with this staff member, Rude, gossipy about patients, incompetent. After years of putting up with this nonsense, our family switched doctors.

Wonderful doctor, very helpful, explains things so a typical person understands it. Have many complications and would not trade Drs. I completely trust him.

Staff is very rude, and cocky attitude. messages don't get to the doctor and takes a long time for a response. Messed up my medication refills on a number of occasions. told the doctor about how rude they were but i guess he doesn't care or chooses to ignore it. I have never felt so stressed about calling and talking to a member of a medical practice before. there are doctors with much nicer staff out there.

Recently called Dr. Bosi's office to follow-up on a Release of Medical Information that was sent a month before and nothing had been received. The Office staff indicated that the patient would have to come into the office because they had not been seen there since 2010. I shared that anything they might have regarding this patient was more that the agency in which I work. I was then put on hold for three occasions while the staff "checked something" and on the third occasion the phone went dead. I found this response inappropriate from one health care office to another. This poor rating is more reflective of the staff that Dr. Bosi has vs. his performance. Unfortunately Dr. Bosi either doesn't know how his office staff interact with others OR doesn't care. Remember that you will never get through to the Dr. without needing cooperation from his staff.

I really thought DR.Bosi is a caring, Intelligent doctor and takes care of my medical needs.

Staff is very rude! Dr. Wants patients to lose weight, while they sit eating. They talk loud about other patients, while your sitting in the waiting room. Very, very unprofessional.

I've been seeing Dr. Bosi for about 20 years. He takes the time to tend to your questions and offers sound advice and medicine. Over-scheduling seems to be a big issue and the wait times in the office are typically around 35-45 minutes, this is my only gripe. If I have to be on time, so should he. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bosi for your medical care and maintenance.

Told me pills were not causing symptoms that were clearly listed on the bottle. Went to another doctor because he told me I could not stop taking the pills and the other doctor said this was untrue and had me stop the blood pressure pills. Today I am pill free, had I stayed there I'd still be going back every couple weeks and I'd still be on pills. The other doctor gave me a diet to follow to restore my blood pressure.

I like the doctor. I feel at ease with him. BUT the women in his office are Very rude. The one secretary actually had the nerve to ask why am I on a Certain medication , that I do not need it. Mind you she said it loud enough for everyone in the waiting room to hear. She is a secretary NOT my doctor. I felt like she was badgering me. The whole thing was so uncomfortable. It's not the first time she has done this to me. AND forget about calling there and getting ANY kind of referral. I have actually been at a specialist and his office forgot to fax over my paperwork. When the girls at the specialist found out it was Dr. Bose's office , they actually told me they always have problems with this woman too. Told me she is even rude to them, so I know it's not just me. A real shame, because I do like the doctor. But I will not be going back there again. I hear other people complain about her to, cannot understand why she has been on staff for so long. When you go to the… doctor you are usually worried about whatever you are seeing him for , then you get badgered by a rude, unprofessional staff that obviously should not be in that line of work.
