Dr. John Alden Bowers JR., MD

I went to see Dr. Bowers because my doctor was on vacation and I needed to see a cardiologist right away for hypertension. He was very nice, listened to what I had to say, reviewed my tests my other doctor had done on me and explained results (which my doctor had told me were normal and they weren’t! I didn’t feel rushed at all. This is the 3 rd cardiologist I’ve been to in a year and a half. I asked him if I could transfer my care over to him, and there was no problem with that. I really liked him. Also, I’m a disabled ICU RN that witnessed his care for other patients in the hospital.

He did surgery for me at St. Rose with a follow-up later in the week. He has a great personality, listens to his patients and spends adequate time to give explanations for all questions you might have.

This physician misdiagnosed a very serious condition. When I attempted to notify him postoperatively about it, he NEVER called me back. His office said he was too busy to call patients. As an RN, this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I will never again refer to, see or speak to this previously respected physician. I will do whatever it takes to convince people to not go to him
