Dr. John Edward Brunner, MD

Recently I had a new pt appt with Dr Brunner, he asked me what was going on and I proceeded to tell him about my symptoms and issues I have had since being in the hospital 5yrs ago. All he wanted to do was push medications on me, I was not in agreement with this and I was very vocal about this to him, at the end of the appt, he told me he couldn't take me as a pt and that he didn't believe anything I was telling him. He basically called me a liar! I DO NOT recommend this Dr as he has terrible bedside manor and he doesn't listen to his patients. Doctors should at least listen to their patients as they are their best advocate!!

Dr. Brunner was able to diagnose me quickly. He is very thorough and to the point in conversation. I was referred to Dr. Brunner by another doctor and friend in endocrinology from Washington. It was a very recommendation and, I am glad he is overseeing my treatment.

I started going to Dr. Brunner about 12 years ago when my regular doctor said I was diabetic. He's a pretty straight forward doctor when he talks with me and that's how I prefer my doctor's to be. Don't beat around the bush, tell it like it is. His nurse is always there to help when I need her and that's great too. I know he's a pretty busy doctor so he might not have a load of time to talk but information comes easily and what I might not have understood, his nurse will take the time to explain further. He's not a sit down with a cup of coffee and a cookie kind of guy for idle chit-chat and I can understand that because he always has a lot of patient's to see. His office is always full and the office people are pretty good at keeping things rolling.

Just tried calling to make an appointment. This doctor was recommended to me since I am new to the area. After waiting just over 5 min to try to make an appointment, I just hung up. He may be a good doctor, but it should never take that long for a call to be answered. If your office is that busy, you need to hire more staff for the phones.

I have been seeing Dr. Brunner for quite a while now and I feel he is one of the most caring doctors I have ever been too. He certainly does take time with you and will work to get to the bottom of the your problem. I have total faith and confidence in him.

I love my doctor and when i call the receptionist are always helpful and polite. What i do not like are nurses that talk about inappropriate things around patients or talk about the patients especially when I'm standing at the window. Anyone know of how i can switch doctors or teach these nurses some manner?
