Summary
John Butz, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. He is a native South Dakotan who completed his medical degree at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. After medical school, residency took him to Charlottesville, Virginia where he completed both his anesthesia residency and pain medicine fellowship. After training he returned to South Dakota where he has enjoyed helping those in his hometown. Outside of medicine he keeps busy outdoors, running and biking the local trails, as well as attending the many activities his three girls participate in.
