Dr. John A Buza, MD

John A. Buza III, MD, MS, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon and Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He treats patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cervical and lumbar spine conditions, including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, pinched nerves, spinal instability, adult scoliosis, and degenerative spine disease. Dr. Buza focuses on minimally invasive and motion-preserving techniques, utilizing advanced technologies including computer-assisted navigation to improve surgical precision and patient outcomes. Dr. Buza earned both his Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital / Hospital for Joint Diseases, followed by fellowship training in spine surgery at the …world-renowned Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout his training and career, Dr. Buza has remained active in clinical research and academic education.
