Dr. John Anthony Cafaro, MD

I saw Dr. Cafaro today for my cold because the female doctor that I preferred was not available in the next 2 months. He was very courteous and appear to care about his patients. He made me feel comfortable talking about my issues with him. He was not uptight and joked along with me, so that helped me feel comfortable. I'm surprised to see negative reviews about his bedside manner, because to me he was definitely above average.

When I moved to Milwaukee, I put off getting a new doctor. I needed to find a doctor could get in with him right away. I have never had a male doctor before, and was a bit nervous about it. He is GREAT. I'm not sure how people can think he has a poor bedside manner. I recommend him to all of my friends here! I like that he tells me everything straight forward even if it is hard for me to hear!

Dr. John is a great dr. i've been with him for 14yrs

I like the fact that he is very forward and doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but he tells you the truth about the situation that your health is in. Always very nice to the kids, listens to whatever questions I have about their health and answers promptly.

Neither he nor his staff can be reached on the phone. Answering machines rule Cafaro's office & his staff runs the office & makes health decisions. He has never had my prescriptions filled in a timely fashion. I have been without my necessary medication a number of times because they do not cooperate with my pharmacy. He has never called to discuss the results of my tests & exams. In fact, he has never returned a call. The woman who calls back (I assume it's his nurse or office manager) is rude & condescending. She refuses to transfer me=y calls to the doctor. He has no concern for my well-being ... none!!! Beware!

I agree with all of the previous negative comments as we experienced the same. He was my elderly parents primary physician and he truly did not care for them as his oath dictates. He actually once admitted to me that he stayed up at night wondering how to help my mother but that was a lie because he did absolutely nothing for her and she ultimately died. He has extremely poor bedside manners, extremely irritated if you ask any questions concerning care, and not at ease when diagnosing. His nursing staff also reflects his poor patient care. BEWARE: DO NOT SEE THIS PHYSICIAN!

Surprisingly unpleasant answering the phone for him. Forces extra and unneeded appointments. All this is provided in a new $550,000,000.00 dollar facility. I guess someone needs to pay for it!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new GP. The staff at the office was neither pleasant nor rude. The wait was longer than expected especially since I was one of the first appointments of the day. I was given an invasive test without much warning or explanation. Dr. Cafaro was cold in his demeanor. He seemed irritated when I asked questions, and was patronizing with his answers. I never received a call back about my test results. I would not recommend this doctor. His bedside manner is seriously lacking, and his office seems poorly run.

don't not spend time with the patient and don't the relevant exam at all.Have poor skils and far away from normal standards.
