Dr John Anthony Cafaro

I have been a patient of Dr. Cafaro’s for over 30 Years. Gosh I can’t believe it’s that long - He is a knowledgeable professional and a great doctor. He is compassionate and awesome as an OB/GYN - when I had an insurance change on (2) occasions unfortunately I needed to visit twice with two doctors outside of this practice - that truly made me realize how important it is to have a doctor like Dr. Cafaro- someone you are comfortable with and can go to with questions and concerns and get an explanation and information from a very good doctor- but also a gentleman and just a very nice guy. He has delivered (2) of my children and was the doctor that I saw immediately before heading then straight to the hospital for my third. My husband and I think he is the best.

Dr Cafaro was the only physician who properly diagnosed my condition and was able to treat it. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, I was able to feel normal. I have been with him for almost 20 years and he always answers my questions and I never feel rushed.

I've only spoken to this Dr. on the phone twice, through the urgent help line as I have a severe form of morning sickness and needed guidance. I had been vomiting for 3 weeks and was in the emergency room once. This Dr was sarcastic to me and had no compassion,as I was calling out of desperation for relief. I am totally turned off and have been resrarching other Drs since. I have no intention of putting myself through another demeaning conversation with this arrogant man it ever let him examine me. It's a shame because I was a patient of a female Dr in the practice who was wonderful but does not deliver. You are forced to see all 5 of the Drs that do deliver with no say of preference,as I prefer a woman to begin with. This guy is a jerk.

Ever since North Shore took over, the staff is not at all pleasant I feel like a number instead of a person Not professional at all But the doctors are still the same pleasant, kind and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Cafaro was brusque and not empathetic at all. He had poor bedside manner and seemed to be an alarmist, making me very fearful and upset.

Dr. Cafaro is an excellent obgyn. He has a great bedside manner - very patient. Is very professional. He is thorough and explains everything in detail. I highly recommend him.
