Dr. John Edmund Carey, MD

The most uncaring doctor that i have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I think that he may be junkie.

Most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever seen. He asked me if I was right handed or left handed three times in our 10minute meeting. He appeared intoxicated/high, but was able to write me a referral for an mri. My mri results came back, dr Carrey recommended epidural shots in my back, but said it would cost me an additional $220 if I wanted to know why that was recommended and/or to know what exactly is wrong with my back. I got a second and third opinion and both of the other doctors (one a neurologist and the other a neurosurgeon) informed me I needed immediate surgery on my lower back, that I have a large herniated disk on my spine that could cause paralysis if not treated. If left to dr. Carrey, I could’ve been paralyzed. Should’ve done more research, didn’t realize he’s only an anesthesiologist. No business practicing in spinal cord injuries, or healthcare at all. When I told him I could not have the epidural shots due to surgery, I needed another form of pain relief in the meantime,… I was told I needed to pay another $220 for an appointment. This doctor, and this entire practice is nothing but a scam. Avoid at all costs. I don’t know how these people sleep at night.

I really liked Dr. Carey! He is a good listener, and was able to help me with my chronic neck pain!

I have a very complicated condition of the lower back with Disc Degenerative Disease...it gets worse every year. I have seen the good doctor for every conceivable procedure for 3 years. When I talk about the severity of my pain and where it is located no complete follow up is made. When I complain I feel ignored. If I want stronger pain meds they ignore me and I feel like I am begging. Being a war veteran and now 66 years of age I feel the need to see someone else. I think he is a great doctor for new comers who have simple problems. But for compound chronic pain you may not be heard. My pain levels now seem worse than three years ago.

Dr. Carey is a very kind and compassionate doctor. I would recommend him and Jax Spine.

I went to Jax Spine center because I had severe neck pain. Dr, Carey did a radio frequency treatment and I Hardly have any pain anymore, and I can walk my dog again!

i had good results from the pain shots Dr. Carey gave me, The office is clean and comfortable, and the nurse was so nice! I Am sending my brother to Dr. Carey for his chronic pain.

I would recommend him,I have a lot of faith in Dr. Carey's ability and expertise.
