Dr. John Emil Carlson, MD

After several years of being ignored during the office visit and being referred for too many tests I realized that having him was worse than not seeing anyone at all. Have changed primary care physicians, none too soon.

My parents experience with Dr. Carlson was extremely poor. My mom was only 10 minutes late for her first appointment (because she suffers from Alzheimer). He made us wait for 15 minutes and then cancelled due to our tardiness. They said that he was in with his next appt. By the way, the next appt. was my father who was sitting in the lobby with me! He also sent my father home with 4 types of meds after a mini-stroke and no med plan or schedule of how to take them. My father is 80 and suffers from dementia. My dad suffered many negative side-affects from the meds. I don't recommend him. I would give less then 1 star but that wasn't an option.

Very horrible bed side manner. Does not take the time to actually listen to you. Felt very uncomfortable at both visits. He made me feel worse about myself. Made it a point to tell me he knows what he is doing because he has 25 yrs of experience. He will talk to you like you are an idiot. Very inappropriate. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Only interested in doing tests and passing you on to another Dr. if you have anything more serious than a cold. Cannot diagnose an illness.
