My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in april of 2023. Three months of chemotherapy didn't do much to shrink the tumor. The first doctor said it still couldn't be resected because of entanglement with some veins, and a second one suggested radiation and said it might become resectable afterwards. We went to Dr Chabot who reviewed the CT with us and told us confidently he could perform the surgery. Not only that, but he also said he could resect the tumor even if it were a little larger. We went from being very worried and feeling some hopelessness to great relief and hope. The Whipple surgery was a long difficult six hours, but it went well. My mom recovered quickly and the CT three months after the surgery showed a clear picture with no signs of cancerous growth. We couldn't be happier with Dr Chabot. We feel very fortunate because we learned about Dr Chabot only when I was mentioning my mom's situation with a friend of mine who happened to have some guest in the same room at… the time. That guest overheard our conversation and urged me to see Dr Chabot. Don't know what situation my mom would be in today if it were not for that coincidence.
