Dr. John Mac Chandler, MD

I was a patient for over 10 years. He wouldn't prescribe my medicine unless I came in every 6 months to see him. I'd go in for the 6months, and he would look at me like I was crazy because nothing was wrong with me, but I'd need my medicine filled for my reflux and ibuprofen. It was a waste of my money and time. When I really was sick, I could never get in to see him. It would take forever for him and his staff to get a medicine approved through your insurance that is required every year. You would have to do without the medicine or pay cash for it. Then when you try to talk to the nursing staff about it or other issues, some of them are very rude. Wasn't impressed with his office staff. If I do a well visit every year, I shouldn't have to do a follow up in 6 months if nothing is wrong with me. Just a way to make money. I wouldn't recommend him or his staff. Go to an Internal Med Doc.

Dr Chandler has always taken great care of me every time I have to go see him. I is a #1 Dr. as far as I am concerned. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care physician.

He will throw you to the curb without a second thought. He's not that great of a doctor. You can't get in if you are sick. You have to see people in his office. If you complain about something, you are out of there. He doesn't care about what's going on with you. If it's not his way, you are out of there again. Patient do know about their own bodies and sometimes doctors need to actually listen instead of being buttholes. Wouldn't send ANYBODY there. Not even my pets. I actually thought he was a good doctor at one time.. But the truth does come out eventually.

I can not express in words how wonderful Dr. John Chandler is.

I am a very compliant pt and have been his pt for years. I have never in my life been fired by a doctor, nor because I asked for a referral for my Wellbutrin that I have been taking for years, and he wouldnt write a prescription for my medicine because the doctor that I was seeing for that medication stopped taking my insurance. Most people get fired from a doctor because they are non-compliant, not because they want to continue their medication that they have been on for years and know they need. I am very disappointed in his care, and I was told that I could not see anybody in his office either. This was a total blow to the back and very unexpected. I wouldnt refer anybody to him.

He has changed and is not the doctor he used to be. If you have concerns about your conditions and question your care he will terminate your patient doctor relationship even after being a patient of his for years.

Dr Chandler is fine doctor is concerned about his patients and will go the extra mile to insure your care. After see several physicians in Shreveport he has been able coordinate my poly- diagnostic condition and give me a better life. It is true he uses a hospitalist for his patient that are hospitalized but this the way medicine is today.

Great Dr. The only thing I don't like is he is not the dr. if your in the hospital he uses a hospital staff dr. that doesn't know me, but other than that he is great

Highly recommended. You will not find a more down to earth, friendly, caring family practitioner doctor.
