Dr. John Paul Christman, MD

This doctor saw my husband for an acute anxiety disorder. His bedside manner was awful: he had no interest in what my husband was dealing with in his life or how it was affecting his condition. After seeing him, my husband's condition worsened. I called the doctor repeatedly asking for a different medication or some other help, but he had no other ideas. Eventually he got irritated with me for calling. The staff here is exceptionally rude. One woman in particular, in response to a question I asked, began shouting at us at the top of her lungs, attracting a lot of stares from other people in the waiting room. This must be a terrible place to work, as everyone seems to be utterly miserable.

He's one of the coolest doctors I've ever had

My mother has been sufferIng from bipolar and depression since 2000. Since then she has been to several doctors who have either over medicated her and increased her liver counts, weren't attentive to her needs or gave her chemical unbalances. In spring 2011 my mother became manic and was hospitalized at Zucker Hill. She was treated by Dr. Christman and his colleagues and when discharged, she became a patient of Dr. Christman. Since under Dr. Christman's care she has dramatically improved ten fold, and I finally have my mother back. Though his guidance, attentiveness and awareness my mother has her life back. It took Dr. Christman to find the right balance of medication to help my mother achieve that. Dr. Christman is a great doctor.
