Dr.. Cobb is a great listener and really does care

I have been a patient of Dr. Cobb for over a year. I have NEVER had a bad experience with him or his staff. They are very professional and courteous. He truly is there to help. If you have an issue with addiction, this is the Dr. to see!

As everybody says just spend three minutes with you writing prescriptions then send you home. I am having High blood pressure on Effexor but doesn't seem to adjust medications or assess me. I should have found my recent pyschiatrist now sooner.

I have been mentally ill for my entire life, until 3 years ago when Dr. Cobb found the right combination of medication to treat my bipolar disorder. I’m 69 years old & contented for the first time in my life. Thank you, Dr. Cobb!

Great Doctor!!!

TERRIBLE DOCTOR!!! Does not care about your problems. If you want to just get addicted to some medication without getting real help...he is your guy!!! He spends less than 5 minutes with you (just long enough to write a script) then sends you on your way. Not helpful at all when it comes to questions about why you need to be taking the addicting medicine he prescribes without knowing the real causes of your problems. 'Doctors' like him give real caring doctors a bad name. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Look at other options! The only people that have nice things to say just want an easy prescription. NOT WORTH RUINING YOUR LIFE OVER!

His offices are dimly lit. His bedside manner is awkward and humorless. However, if you already have a diagnosis and just need your prescriptions re-filled; Dr. Cobb is better than nothing.

Dr. Cobb has been great for me. Never have to wait more than 10 minutes, diagnosis was right on point, staff is very friendly as well. I would definitely recommend anyone to Dr.Cobb

I would recommend him to anyone. Has done a good job in coming up with the combination of medications to treat my problems.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cobb's for over 2 years now, and having tested "the psychiatric waters" in several Texas cities, that is a great compliment to the care he provides. Previous docs always started out interested and friendly, but inevitably got more and more detached from my situation and less and less concerned with my long-term wellness. This is not the case with Dr. Cobb. He continues to foster growth in me. Rather than become complacent over time, he has come to know me better and what I am capable of. John Cobb seems to "understand" topics and experiences like none of his colleagues. I never cease to be pleasantly suprised when he responds and expands on thoughts that I had come to believe noone other than me experienced. In addition to depression and some other disorders, I am a recovering addict/alcoholic. Particularly in this area of his field, Dr. Cobb seems to stand alone with his endless knowledge and empathy concerning substance-abuse. I need a… psychiatrist who is compassionate, but can also be tough; one who cares about the well-being of his patients more than his paycheck; one who understands, but encourages; one who never gets bored with me, but instead inspires development. Dr. Cobb is all of this and more as my psychiatrist. I don't mean to be dramatic, but 2 years ago, I had no desire to live, because I frimly believed I COULD NOT BE HELPED, but today I would be hard-pressed to find a single ounce of my being that doesn't love life today!
