John Corey

We had gone to Dr. Corey for 3 years or more, with good care. But, when the front receptionists were instructed to send seriously ill patients to Urgent Care that was the last straw. My wife went to see Dr. Corey because she was having trouble breathing. She needed to see someone quickly. That's when she was told no one was available to see her and she needed to the clinic. Urgent Care was fantastic! Funny thing is that I see Dr. Corey's office (his office is under UNC and there are several physicians there) is looking for new patients. It would be great if they would take care of the ones they already have. I advised Corey to arrange for a PA or nurse to conduct "triage" to determine if the patient is having an emergency and not allow receptionist to act as a filter. Corey is going part-time (according to him) but this comment really applies to the entire office so it still applies.
