Dr. John P Cunha, DO

I'm writing to encourage Dr. Cunha to amend his review of cyclobenzaprine side effects and warnings on RXList to include increasing the risk of developing dementia when used heavily, longterm by people over age 65, as well as an increased short term risk of delirium. They are anticholinergics, and the association with dementia is being confirmed in JAMA internal medicine and BMJ.

Due to his article on a steroid my wife’s quality of life has increased tenfold. After reading serious side effects section on a medication we had wrote, I was able to identify the source of serious regression of a brain injury. Her Specialist said the Florinef was not the reason and clinic studies did not include that either but in fact the opposite. He was right, after eliminating that her energy is back including cognitive dissonance and emotional liability back to the new normal we before. A gifted Dr who has made a huge difference on more people than he probably knows. I’m certain without his opinion we would have figured this out. Many thanks!!

I came to the ER with chest pains and was very nervous and concerned. Dr. Cunha spent a great deal of time with me. He answered my questions and I trusted him completely. His diagnosis was right on target...wish he could have continued my treatment after I was admitted.

Treated with concern, professionalism, stated clearly what I needed to know, answered my questions, was patient and courteous. Dr. Cunha was very knowledgeable about my condition.
