Dr. John William Davis III, MD

Dr Davis and his staff have been providing care since 2018. I am certain that had I remained with my other doctors I would one leg amputation if not both. Great doctor and staff.

Three years ago he operated on my husbands neck and it came out fine. Three months later he operated on my husband leg, after two no shows. The third trip to the hospital his surgery was planned for 8am and he didn’t show up until 2:30. They told me it would be about a three hour surgery, which turned into 5 hours. I never got updates and I ended up calling the operator to find out what was going on. They put me through to the post op area. I was told he would be in a room in about an hour. Dr. Davis did come talk to me briefly and said he had a little bit of trouble in the beginning to get through the plaque. I went to my husbands room to wait for him and he was already there. The nurse was checking him to see if the blood flow was good or not. I noticed he wasn’t hooked up to any equipment to monitor him from the nurses station. When I asked about it she told me that they’d check him every couple of hours. He was very groggy but I managed to get him to take a sip of water. His words… were “that feels good on my throat”. I was starving and went to get something to eat, thinking he was doing ok. I got back, kissed his forehead and I didn’t get a response. I knew something was wrong so I started to push on his chest and called for a nurse. I turned around and a nurse was standing there, with her arms folded and she said, we did all we could do but he’s gone. I freaked out. Why wasn’t he in ICU, why wasn’t I told that he might not make it and why wouldn’t Dr. Davis sign the death certificate. The entire ordeal was one mistake after another. I had to get the justice of peace to sign his death certificate. I know my husbands surgery was a difficult one but to be kept in the dark was very wrong. Nurses at CONROE hospital don’t even like him. He’s a pretty boy and knows it. I will never recommend him to anyone.

Our experience with this Doctor , if your elderly and have a leaky abdominal aneurism, even if you are in very good health , bowl twice a week, mows the places on 35 acres, does the tractor work and church every Sunday , walks up and down a flight of Stairs to his home maybe 15 times a day, feeds the horses. Even after hearing all this He would not fix the problem . Instead he sent Dad home to die.. in severe pain . Even a non health care worker can google the effects of an Aneurism is groin & back pain . Thank God for the second time in less than a week the Huntsville ER , Dr Con , recognized the need to get Dad to a vascular Surgeon !! This time they sent him to Memorial Herman Hospital , but just before take off no rooms there , so they took him to Memorial Herman City Hospital on Greesner Rd , Houston by A Helicopter. There a Vascular Surgeon heard the story and age was not a factor to fix DAD !! And he did, he fixed the leak with stents , didn’t lose a kidney’s didn’t have a… hitch!! God Had this surgeons hands. Dad was talking to us in ICU right after the surgery , his color is great , he came thru the surgery with flying colors!! and the service at this hospital is #1. So this Doctor Davis likes to play God or he just flat didn’t have the experience to do the job or he thought Dad had lived long enough!! There was a reason God directed us to this route into the hands of Dr Abash Keyhanai !! The best Vascular Surgeon in Texas!! For a person who otherwise is in good health , very very active , AGE should never be a factor !!! But maybe God knew better than to let this Davis Doctor preform the needed surgery . Just something to think about before you let any Doctor kick you or a family member to the crib because in his opinion your to old!!!

I was very pleased with the service I received. He is a very busy man but definately worth waiting for.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. First I saw his physician's assistant who diagnosed me from a chart on the wall. NO other questions asked, in fact when I asked questions his response was talk to your family doctor. (DUH!!! that is why I was there to talk about my veins!! ) Then told me I may need this operation. (I have broken capillaries). The treatment is for serious varicose veins. Then the assistant brought in a promotional video of the operation they didn't even know if I needed. I even told the assistant I did not want to see the video, I wanted to see the doctor. I then demanded to see the doctor. He was not interested AT ALL in any of my questions. His answers were "I don't know, nobody knows" and "talk to your doctor". It was very obvious they had ABSOLUTELY no interest in helping me ONLY selling their procedure.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Davis for a couple years, and out of the 3 cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons in the office he was by far my favorite. Very personable, caring, and the best surgeon I've ever worked with. I get to see alot behind the scenes, and he is truly great. If any of my family or myself needed anything heart related, I would trust him in an instant with mine or my family members lives.

This was the most humiliating visit to a doctor I have ever encountered in my 65 years. I did not ask to come to this man, but my family doctor thought test from Herman Memorial Wellness center warranted it. This doctor was on the attack mode as soon as he came in the door and did not listen at all to what was being said.I read God fearing in others report, he better fear God for he sure does not have God in his heart. I was under stress after being told I may have trouble with my aorta, I was more under stress when I left his office. Very rude, uncaring, unprofessionaly and surely did not adhere to their Mission:delivered with compassion, integrity and dignity and emphasizing accessibility, dependability, patient rights and community commitment.God bless his soul and may he obtain more of God;s grace within his heart.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr Davis for the last year. He is very compassionate, God-fearing,friendly and intelligent surgeon. He takes the time to answer questions and simplifies it in a way that you are not intimidated by him or the info he's presenting to you.He strives to be the best at what he does. He is very efficient and proud of his work. He is very accountable and upfront with his patients, a true refreshing blessing for those that are under his care. He strives to make the hospital and those on his team the cream of the crop. He expects his patients to be compliant and to help themselves actively in their recovery process.I am proud to be a part of his team. He and his partner Dr Maniscalco set the bar high on quality patient care and great communication. He is an honest, straight-forward doctor, a real asset to the medical community.

i am A student doing my clinicals at kingwood medical center I've personally got the great opportunity to work with DR.Davis first hand in surgery he is a phonemonal and experienced doctor who really has a drive and passion for what he does i would put my own life in his hands without a doubt. and if anyone asked me i would tell them the same. god has truley gave him an exceptional talent !!!

Dr Davis is a wonderful doctor. He is kind and easy to talk to. Always takes his time to answer questions and listens. I would highly recommend him.
