I believe this doctor is very skilled at what he does. He showed a great deal of caring and helpness during my husband's time with him.

I was referred to Dr deHoll about 2 years ago when my primary found an abnormality on my kidneys after an MRI and CT for an unrelated issue. My one and only visit was brief. He informed me that my primary overreacted. That I had fatty deposits on my kidneys and that they were "normal" although a few were larger than normal and I should have them checked periodically. End of discussion. In a routine in exam with my new primary in another state, she asked for my discs, again, due to the unrelated issue. She also seen the abnormality in my kidneys and sent me to a new Urologist. I have Angiomyolipomas. Tumors on both kidneys. Left kidney had an 8 cm tumor, right over 11cm. I now have to have an embolism in left and most likely going to lose my right kidney. Did Dr deHoll misdiagnose me? No. It was in his report that I had this. It was also in his report that the right kidney tumor was already 8 cm 2 years ago and should have been embolized then. Now, because Dr deHoll did not do his job… properly, I will lose my kidney. He did not bother to explain to me what I had. He did not bother to explain to me that it could potentially rupture and cause hemorrhaging and potentially death if untreated. He never told me anything more than they were "normal". Anything overview5 cm is dangerous and I was at 8 cm. If it had not been for the "overreaction" if my new primary, I could possibly be dead within a year. All because Dr deHoll could not take 5 minutes if his time, during a scheduled appointment, to explain my condition and the risks of it. Shame on him!!! And fyi, I was insured and had great insurance at that time. I am in my mid 40's with a young child. He dropped the ball in my condition. And why? Because as a patient, I was not important enough.
