Dr. Delfino is terrific and I highly recommend him. After seeing many other care providers who were mystified by my symptoms, he was able to accurately diagnose my condition and provide an effective course of treatment. I'm very grateful, as Dr. Delfino is an excellent care provider leading an outstanding team at NYU Langone.

I felt compelled to write this review because I truly have never had a worse medical experience in my life. This doctor charges $850 for an office visit, including a consultation where he was actually in the room for 2 minutes TOPS. Rude, apathetic, pompous, recommends treatments that are unnecessary or duplicative. Wish I had never made an appointment.

I don't understand the negativity of previous comments, as my appointments with Dr. Delfino were excellent. Okay, so he has a formal aura about him, but he is a good listener, as well. I came to him with a problem other doctors had not either been willing to or informed enough to address and I was in pain. I wasn't surprised that NYU had a pain specialist who both knew of the problem and had ideas about fixing it. He also made me feel this problem would eventually go away, which was as supportive as prescribing medication. I am a big fan of NYU's top doctors and he is definitely one of them.

Dr.Delfino appears to be a smart doctor but he is an administrator first and apparently missed clinical hours in med school because his bedside manner is terrible. He left me in a waiting room; forgot about me for an hour. When I did meet with him for excruciating pain he didn't do anything to assist me with that, nor did he explain what he thought could be wrong or take into account my medical history or medications I'm currently on; instead ordered an MRI, flew out the door and then determined it was not "an emergency" and so left the office for a week's vacation before giving the proper clinical diagnosis to my insurance company in order for them to approve said MRI. Meanwhile, I spent 3 hours at the radiology center playing interference between my insurance company, his office and the radiology center. Flash forward 2 weeks, I'm able to get the MRI done, I get a medication and it appears to work. As of yesterday it stopped working, he chastised me for not going to the ER and said… that if the ER had a question, to call him- but that all day he would be in administrative meetings. This guy's bedside manner is insulting, he's an administrator and should see patients. I've seen episodes of the TV show Dr. House where that Doctor showed more empathy.
