Dr. DePowell monitored my condition and counseled me on surgery to straighten my spine for 2 years. I was hesitant to proceed with this extensive surgery, I finally chose to proceed, based primarily upon my high level of confidence in Dr. DePowell. During the 7 hour surgery he screwed 4 metal rods in the spine, from T-2 to the pelvis and also performed a fusion on the lower section of the spine. The surgery was a complete success and the follow-up attention has been excellent. He has a wonderful bedside manner, patience in answering questions without using technical terms that I couldn't understand, and finally never rushing me to get to the next appointment. I would recommend him without hesitation.

He not only successfully completed what seemed like a very difficult surgery but I was amazed at the short recovery time. Within a year I had zero pain or issues on the area he operated on and it remains problem free years later. Dr. Depowell is extremely profession and patient. He always took the time to explain everything thoroughly and made sure everyone of my questions were answered and never once made me feel like he needed to hurry up with me and move on to the next patient.
