Dr. John Devaney JR., MD

As a senior I've been to many doctors over they years but none came close to Dr. Devaney in skill, manner, knowledge and concern for his patients. He is very thorough and right on target in diagnosis. He takes the time to talk to his patients and never rushes them out the door. Dr. Devaney coordinates very well with specialists so he has a holistic view of his patients. My wife and I trust and respect him without question and certainly have no desire to look for any other primary physician.

I clicked on a single star only as a means of accessing the comment list. I never saw or received treatment from this doctor so I can't evaluate the doctor's performance or competence. This is a comment about his scheduling staff.....Called for an appointment on 11-11-2019. Scheduled for 12-12-2019. Office called on 12-8-2019 to cancel and rescheduled for 1-27-2020. Office called on 1-23-2020 to cancel and reschedule for 2-24-2020. Office called on 2-7-2020 to cancel and reschedule. NO WAY THIS TIME AROUND. I TOLD THE PERSON DOING THE SCHEDULING I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RESCHEDULE AND TO REMOVE ME FROM THE DOCTORS PATIENT LIST. Prior to the cancellation of the latest scheduled appointment, I assumed they would be calling me to reschedule so I simply contacted another doctor in my HUMANA NETWORK. The new doctor's scheduling staff established an appointment date and honored my scheduled appointment.

I have seen Dr. Devaney for quite a few years, I have some medical issues that need follow-up visits like diabetes etc. Sometimes I have current needs and I always get seen. John always is concerned with A1 results and my overall health, especially when I was depressed and my intestinal infection a few years back. I was hospitalized for a week. This may be very routine patient care, but this is what is best thing for me, a contact from where to get referrals and follow-ups. John is great about follow-up and maintaining my patient file. He remembers everything because he maintains the digital file, I would recommend this doctor to anyone.
