Dr. John Donald Duerden, MD

I’ve been a patient for 2-3 years. Dr. Deurden’s staff always begins with an x-ray. Dr. Deurden is thorough, a good listener, and takes a collaborative approach with me regarding rehabilitation. I’ve been very satisfied with my treatment and plan to return in the future.

Dr Duerden took good care of me when I was in considerable pain. No complaints.

Dr. Duerden and the staff were very friendly, caring, and helpful through every step of the process in receiving medical attention. I was invited to ask any questions or concerns before, during, and follow up treatment. I was very impressed and would highly recommend Dr. Duerden and the staff at the Virginia Beach location.

Dr. Duerden took the time to listen to my issue, throughly. He made recommendations that were easy to understand, and he asked MY opinion about my treatment plan. His professionalism and attentiveness, are A+!! I hope not to see him in the future. However, if need arises I feel more than comfortable doing so.

I went to orthovirginia with a knee injury that had me laid up for three days with each day getting worse. I showed up as a walk-in and they got me in within an hour. I would highly recommend Dr. Darden. He gave me a thorough range of motion exam and went through my x-rays with a fine to comb. I was happy to hear that at my age there was very little arthritis and no other issues were identified. I was impressed with his use of a scribe who dictated every word he said so that he was able to focus on my situation. He was quick to formulate a plan involving complete numbing and a series of injections that provided a great deal of immediate relief and I got my first nights sleep in three days. It also didnt hurt a bit that these were the most pain free shots I have ever recieved, especially considering where the shots were injected (knee joint). Thanks again Dr. Darden and I can say that even after the temporary numbering agent has worn off I am much improved, walking a bit gingerly and… able to complete my planned trip to Charleston, S.C. Two thumbs up and five star rating for you!!!

Dr Guerden was very patient and did not rush me through the appt. He allowed me the time I needed to completely explain the issues I was experiencing. I felt we had a very good dialog regarding my problems.
