Dr. John Sparrow Duffy, MD

I found him to be a bit abrupt and always felt like you were inconveniencing him by being there taking up his time. Always having to wait at least 45 minutes sometimes up to an hour for a scheduled appointment. Was quick to give medicine and always seemed to be in such a rush to be done with you.

Nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone. I have updated where my scripts go with the front desk, nurse, and Dr. Duffy himself, as well as the medications I am allergic to. I have had them send my scripts to the wrong town and wrong pharmacy several times now, and rather than seeing me when I tried to schedule an appointment they prescribed me an antibiotic. I choke a week ago and have inflammation, trouble swallowing, and now I feel as though I am getting ill. It is on file and was made verbally clear to every person I spoke to, including Dr. Duffy, that I am deathly allergic to Penicillin. Rather than reviewing my medical history and patient file, he and his staff called in a script of Penicillin to the wrong clinic, who then contacted me to notify me that I was red flagged as a possible major health risk. This is a huge breach in patient safety and protocol and I am beyond unimpressed, angry, and amazed that a healthcare facility and doctor would blatantly disregard protocol and… put my life and safety at risk, rather than taking the time to talk to me or see me, and still call in a potentially lethal medication. I recommend NEVER going to see this facility or this doctor!

THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A DOCTOR THAT HAD SO MUCH CONCERN ABOUT HIS PATIENTS . IF SOMETHING WAS WRONG HE WILL FIND OUT WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO TREAT IT. HE HAS MORE COMPASSION THAN ANY DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN EVEN IN HOSPITALS.

Dr. Duffy was both my husband and my doctor as well as my father and mother and sister. He always worked us in and always listened to heart and soul. He was the only doctor that could get my father in to see and the only doctor my husband trusted. We miss him so very much.

My first appointment with Dr. Duffy: I arrived 30 minutes early as requested to fill out the paperwork, etc. (I should add that this appointment was rescheduled by HIM.) I was ushered into a room 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. A nurse took my vitals, etc. Then told me that Dr. Duffy "would be here in just a couple minutes." After 35 minutes I walked out into the hallway and waited. A nurse approached me and told me that Dr. Duffy was at lunch and would be back soon. Oddly, another patient emerged from another room and stated that he had an appointment at exactly the same time I did and needed to leave. I decided to walk out - through a VERY FULL waiting room.

John Duffy and his sidekick Miss Maureen are just great people to work with. I know when I go to see him he takes time to check and listen which is great. I do like this many.
