Dr. John B. Durnford has been practicing dentistry for over 26 years. He grew up in the El Paso, Texas area, and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. He came to San Antonio in 1980 for dental school and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984. He spent three years practicing dentistry with the Air Force then opened his own practice. He has been at the current location in Schertz, Texas since 1997.Â
Dr. Durnford has been married to Sandy for 27 years and has a son and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and watching his girls participate in soccer and band. He also participates in many community service organizations.   For example, in 2008 he spent two weeks in Mexico with Ascend Humanitarian Aid building a medical clinic and giving free dental work to needy people in the area. Closer to home, he serves in the youth organization at his church and …he partners with Steele High school in training the next generation of health care providers.Â
