Dr. John Dudley Edwards, MD

Dr Edwards was my vascular physician for about 6 months. Looking at my ct scan he told me that my issue/pain could be due to arthritis. On my last visit with him, while looking at the same ct scan, he tells me I need a peripheral artery bypass and wants to perform it in less than a week. With the help of my family I decided to get a second opinion, and I’m so happy I did. Also, time is precious to all of us, and Dr Edwards kept me waiting over an hour for a 10 minute appointment.

Not only was he quick with me, he diagnosed me without explaining what that diagnosis meant. He spent maybe 8 min with me. Office staff when you call, very kind, HIS staff extremely RUDE! Rude rude rude. I went for a 2nd/3rd opinion and Dr Edwards diagnosed me incorrectly. I did not have what he said. I exposed myself to radiation that wasn’t needed and the worst treatment. I would never recommended him to anyone.

Dr. Edwards said I should submit to a vascular operation involving my left leg. Being 89 years old and fearful I agreed. He arrived late for the operation and it proved unsuccessful, causing me new pain. A second opinion at Mayo Clinic confirmed I was in worse shape than before the operation and worse, it was NOT necessary in the first place. Best you get a second opinion before accepting this doctor’s recommendation. That’s my opinion.

This doctor took X-rays & totally missed a blood clot that luckily was caught months later by a real doctor! So scary!

Dr Edwards treated me at St Luke Hospital in Northern KY and The University Hospital of Cincinnati, OH. He was the most caring and compassionate Dr I've ever seen. He truly cares for every patient he sees and I will cherish the care he gave me for a life time..which I now have because of him!
