Dr. John Fontaine Egger III, MD

After two years of trying countless combinations of medications, I finally found the right mix with my previous doctor that helped me get my life back on track. I had one session with this guy and he changed my medication regiment and seems like he intends on making additional adjustments. That is not only an indication of professional arrogance like he knows better than the psychiatrist who actually improved my quality of life but also a sign of flagrant stupidity. Why would a doctor change what works if you've devoted almost your entire life, post-diagnosis, trying to find the best combination of medications? He doubted my need to be on medications that contributed to a dramatic improvement in my performance in school by a matter of degrees, restored my communication and overall social functioning, and level of productivity at work. There's no justification for changing medications a person takes when it radically improves their life if the doctor does not know the extent to which it… helps.
