Dr. Eggleston treated me respectfully. I was having reconstructive surgery due to breast cancer. He presented me with all of my options, discussing pros and cons. Due to the nature of immediate reconstruction after mastectomy, he was clear about what might happen depending on the extent of the cancer. I ended up with a wonderful result even after a second surgery, due to pathology report, made some adjustments necessary. He also has a great sense of humor which was a relief after the heavy weight of a cancer diagnosis.

In 2004, I went to Dr.John Eggleston lll, at Bayview Medical Center, in Baltimore, Md to have skin removed, after losing a great amount of weight. First of all, Dr. Eggleston did not cut down to near my elbow, and I have a four inch huge lump above my elbow. I also have very wide scarring down the length of both arms. I cannot Ever go sleeveless, because people have come up to me mortified and ask what happened to my arms. I should have gone to another surgeon after this fiasco, but I had had many surgeries over the years, and didn't want to deal with any more pain.He also let an intern stitch the top of my thigh (on which I also had surgery) and the wound broke open, and I had to have a home healthcare nurse come to my home every day, for a month to clean and pack the wound til it healed from the inside, out. Next week my daughter is getting married in Florida, and I have to wear sleeves, so as not to draw attention to my horrible arms.
